Girls’ Generation Sooyoung, Lee Chun Hee, and Lee Jong Hyuk to Lead New Drama

Are you awkward and lovelorn? Have you been staring at that pretty boy or girl sitting across from you for months but you’ve barely gotten them to remember your name? Well here is Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung, Lee Chun Hee,and Lee Jong Hyuk to your rescue.

The three stars will be leading a new drama from tvN, the channel that brought you the “Flower Boy” drama series, titled, “Dating Agency: Cyrano” (hereafter “Cyrano”). “Cyrano” will take the format of a prequel to the movie of similar name, “Cyrano: Dating Agency,” which was originally based on the popular Korean webtoon, “Cyrano Agency.” (Just as confused as you are here.)

Lee Jong Hyuk of “A Gentleman’s Dignity” fame will play the character of Seo Byung Hoon in the romantic comedy drama. The character  is widely recognized as a skilled director among theater circles. He starts the dating agency out of guilt after a friend’s death in order to revive that friend’s theater troupe.

Sooyoung will play the headstrong romanticist, Gong Min Young, who has a completely different personality from Seo Byung Hoon. Due to this difference, Gong Min Young and Seo Byung Hoon constantly butt heads, bickering like Tom and Jerry.

Lee Chun Hee will play a chef of a restaurant located next to the dating agency, who gets caught between Gong Min Young and Seo Byung Hoon.

The drama is slotted to be 16 episodes and will air after “Nine” on tvN, near the end of May.
